The AeroAcoustics Aircraft Systems, Inc. Aircraft Payload Extender XL increases the maximum landing weight of the Cessna 206 aircraft from 3600 lb to 3800 lb.   Installation of the APE XL provides operators with increased flexibility—particularly on short haul routes favored by the 206.

The APE XL modification is a unique aerodynamic device attached to the trailing edge flaps.   The kit adds less than 1 lb to the aircraft empty weight and can easily be installed in several hours.   Operators can continue to fly the 206 with the same procedures utilized before the APE XL installation.

The APE XL works in conjunction with previously certified STC’s that increase the maximum takeoff gross weight for the 206.
